The driver CABs are updated based on the release schedule and in response to customer questions, we are providing a way to see what has changed in the current release of driver CAB with respect to previous release of driver CAB (does new driver CAB contains all applicable latest drivers?, etc.) via “Delta Report”.

“Delta Report” is the reports built by Dell’s engineers and is the basis for finding applicable new and update driver candidates for a driver CAB release.

A Delta Report provides the following information:

  • Current driver CAB details and quick download link.
  • Device driver support of previous driver CAB.
  • Device driver support of current driver CAB.
  • Highlights incremental changes to Device driver support of CAB current driver CAB.

Note: Device driver support of a CAB releases is decided on various factors like- Applicability of a device to Model, Driver Operating System Deployment readiness, etc.

Like driver CAB releases, Delta Report release aligns with the release schedule i.e. all new driver CAB release hence forth will have a Delta Report associated on Dell Tech Center site. Any customer can navigate to Delta Report by accessing links associated to a driver pack on the Dell Tech Center Driver CAB landing/Index page.

  • Not Included

A row is marked as “Not Included” if and only if, previous driver supported a device and support for the device is dropped in current driver CAB. This is a very rare condition.

  • No Change

A row marked as “No Change” signifies that the current driver CAB continues to support the device and no new updates were available for the device driver at time of building the driver CAB.

  • Updated

A row marked as “Updated” means either “device driver update” or “new device support” is included in the current driver CAB.
