We are pleased to announce the release of the driver packs for our XPS line for our Enterprise Customers!

Models Supported:  XPS 13 (L321x), XPS 14 (L421x)  and XPS 15 (L521x).

The XPS driver packs enables system administrators to introduce a single touch, seamless OS deployment solution for the XPS family of products. The driver

packs can be used with tools like SCCM 2007, 2012, MDT 2010/MDT 2012 ( newest!) and KACE for easy deployment of Windows 7 on XPS systems.

Everything that you need for your imaging!

Download Driver Packs:

XPS 13 (L321x): Dell Version A00

XPS 14 (L421x): Dell Version A00

XPS 15 (L521x): Dell Version A00

               For XPS 13 (L321x), XPS 14 (L421x)  and XPS 15 (L521x):

WinPE CAB : The WinPE CAB Dell Version A09 or later, needs to be used for deployment on XPS systems.

                For XPS 13 (L321x) only:

USB to NIC Dongle :

Since the XPS 13 does not have an Onboard NIC, a USB to NIC dongle need to be used for OS deployment.

SMSC LAN 7500:

If you are using a USB NIC based on the SMSC LAN 7500 chipset, the A09 WinPE CAB and XPS 13 driver pack carries drivers for this device.

The Startech USB21000S2 USB NIC uses the LAN7500 chipset and is available from Dell.

The XPS 13 with BIOS A05 or higher, supports PXE boot with LAN7500 chipset based USB NICs.

Note: If you chose to use a different USB to NIC dongle for network based Operating System deployment, you will need to inject the specific driver for such device in WinPE.

To review all the available driver CABs, go to DellTechCenter.com/CABs.  Also, you may choose to download them from http://www.dell.com/support/drivers, for a given system under the drivers and download tab.

Limitations:

For XPS 13 (L321x) only:

The Cypress Touchpad on the XPS 13 has advanced features like multi-touch gestures, but requires a software installation to achieve full functionality.  For this reason,

we remove the Cypress Touchpad driver from the CAB.  You will need to deploy the touchpad software post-OS to install the advanced features.  The Cypress Touchpad software is available here.
